Neither Goran Bregovic nor Iggy Pop needs any introduction- moreover I’ll write more about each of them and their music at some point(they happen to be in my top favourite artists, in general).

A few years ago I saw Manu Chao (and other very interesting artists that I might talk about with other occasions) performing at the Pinkpop festival. As I remember it, I ended up somewhat dissapointed because he did not sing any of the pieces from the “Clandestino” album, which is by far my favourite from Manu Chao (instead he and his collaborators sang mostly Mano Negra songs, very good otherwise, but, well, not my favourite…).

Francesco de Gregori does not need any introduction: for anybody who knows Italian music, this artist is one of their gods. He is one of my top 5 favourite Italian musicians, in his case superlative both as singer and as songwriter.
